Mireille Urumuri
Biography

Mireille Urumuri is an African Canadian actress, model and aspiring writer born on December 30th in Butare a city in the South Province of Rwanda.

She  first discovered her love for the performing arts at four years old while living in Spain. Back then she wanted to become a Flamenco dancer just like the internationally renowned Sara Baras. After a short period of time in Madrid, her family and she moved to Canada. At six years old, she fell in Love with acting and knew it was what she wanted to do growing up.

As a child, Mireille learned her craft like an autodidact by watching plenty of movies and reading every book she could lay her hands on. Later on, during High School, she attended a few drama classes.

Upon her graduation, she moved to Montreal. Along with working full time in an office, modeling for independent projects and participating in small student productions, she attended the Montreal School of Performing Arts. She researched the different film markets in Canada and determined the Vancouver film Industry was the most suitable for her growth as an individual and an Artist. In 2007, she packed her bags and flew to Vancouver.

Since her arrival she has worked as hard as she could to get closer and closer to her dream. You can see her in few commercials for big companies such as Pepsi, the American Cancer Society and Kit Kat. She has been in few Independent productions as well as some video clips for some local Artists. Furthermore, she has modeled for many local clothing designers: Jacqueline Conoir, Skyler, Marlene Gotrian, KV BIJOU, only to name a few.

This multi-talented Artist also has a passion for languages and different cultures. She fluently speaks English, French and her native language Kinyarwanda. Conjointly, she speaks Spanish at a beginner's level and a little bit of Italian. She enjoys singing, dancing, writing and drawing. Her dream is to travel the world acting whilst learning something new every day.

Meanwhile, she is enjoying the beautiful landscape of Vancouver and its fresh air.
